Food & Dining At Tigh Na Leigh
We love food and this part of the world is the larder every serious food lover dreams about. Scotland and especially Perthshire has an abundance of fish, game, meat - fine vegetables, wild mushrooms and wonderful soft fruit (the Scots just never make a big deal about it).
Our cooking style is influenced by our travels and heritage. A bit of Thai, Italian, the odd German dumpling and of course a good old American style barbeque when the weather is right. We try to use mainly seasonal produce, as we believe the shorter the way to your table the better the taste.
The meat products we use are sourced locally, we can generally name the farm where it was raised if you wish to have this information. Most of our seafood is landed in Scotland and delivered within days of being caught.
We cater for vegetarians with the same gusto - the vegetables, fruit and herbs used come from our own kitchen garden or surrounding (organic) farms when ever possible.
Cheeses are sourced from a brilliant cheese shop in Blairgowrie - mostly Scottish - they have the right degree of ripeness and texture to be a grand finale to any meal.
